We are so excited to be hosting this event, we have a wall full of members’ calligraphy. Artist’s reception to be held on the evening of Friday, January 28th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Cary Art Center.
2020
March 2020: TCG’s Library Calligraphy Programs
TCG is once again presenting calligraphy programs for Wake County Regional Libraries, this year at six libraries, March 14 – 24, 2020. We have teachers and one assistant already in place, but we need assistant teachers, please contact us for more info.
For the 2019 program, TCG members taught Uncial to 99 students at Wake County Public Libraries in March! Our library contacts were very happy with the team approach and want to continue the program. TCG members have been teaching in the area libraries since 2017.
2019
August 2019: our guild’s annual Exhibit at Sunflower’s Cafe in downtown Raleigh.
Having your work at Sunflower’s is a wonderful privilege of membership for EVERY Guild member. Especially if you haven’t been part of this annual TCG tradition yet, make a plan to exhibit or visit with friends this year.

The TCG actively pursued community outreach activities in 2014. Some of the events we’ve participated in:
- Sept 2 – Sept 30 2014, The 2014 Guild Exhibition at “Sunflowers Cafe”
- Jun 2014, Library demonstrations
- Jun 1 2014, NC Art Museum, NCMA Family Renaissance Fair
- Introduction to calligraphy, with area Girl Scouts
- Reggie Ezell, year-long workshop: the Raleigh/Cary area TCG was one of a select number of cities hosting Reggie Ezell for his year-long workshop: “26 Seeds: A Year To Grow”
2013
- Aug 3 2013 – Sept 3 2013, “Nature”: A Guild Exhibition at Sunflowers Cafe in Raleigh,
— An exhibit of calligraphic art by members of the Triangle Calligraphers’ Guild shown at Sunflowers Cafe. The public was invited to view the exhibit and meet TCG members and exhibitors at the opening, Saturday, Aug. 3 at 11 a.m. The exhibit, on the theme “Nature,” was on view during the cafe’s business hours of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, except Labor Day. Sunflowers Cafe is located at Eight West Peace Street.
